GUYMON, OKLAHOMA

Fluid from broken pimples oozed down Marvin’s face as, near tears, he anxiously adjusted the tuning knob. On last night’s show, Craig Howard devoted the entire program to the government’s cover-up of what they were doing to the sun, promising to tell him what he could do about it. Thrilled to hear he could play an important role, Marvin had nearly floated all day in anticipation.

The government must have also been listening because now they were jamming his radio to prevent him from learning his part. All evening the signal faded in and out, and now it had completely vanished, buried beneath the barrage of their machinery. Marvin was positive they were blocking everything they didn’t want him to know.

He realized his target practice had been inspired. A time was coming he’d need to shoot fast and straight. Perhaps it had arrived, but he needed Craig’s help. The pissers were so well disguised, he had trouble spotting them on his own.

Marvin had uncovered a few, though. Mr. Justin down at the utility office was one. So was the man who drove the county’s animal truck.
